Writing this as we sit on a cute little BA turboprop plane on the way back from Dusseldorf, it seems like the Christmas season has snuck up and well and truly begun already.
Not really deserving of anything so serious as the term “aftermath”, to be fair, but it’ll do! This’ll be pretty short, because I felt the previous post need an addendum especially in light of how I feel now.
Relaxing on a soft couch shortly after a very Christmassy meal I suddenly feel the need to post about what I’m feeling now and what I think that might mean.

As I foreshadowed in the last post, last Saturday we participated in another megagame – WTS3. I’m not going to go into details again on what megagames are and how they work, but see the two posts I wrote after the last time if you’re interested in more details.
I’ve turned 32 since the last post; I’m pretty sure that’s when you get given your wisdom booster, right? So from now on you should just trust me. Consider me as an oracle, if you will. Good, I’m glad that’s settled.

The title doesn’t work quite so well as the Ides of March are apparently March 15th and I’ve already put up a couple of posts since then; BUT WHATEVER!
We’ve said our goodbyes to Dianne and now we’re on a train back into Melbourne. It’s Saturday afternoon, our flight out is Sunday night, we’re getting quite aware of how little holiday there is left now.

Off out of to the country again, Wednesday morning we check out of our second Melbourne hotel. We cheekily leave a bunch of our luggage at the hotel we stayed in a week ago; they’re in a much more convenient place for picking it up again, and we knew from last time that they don’t ask for proof of residence.

Tuesday is barbecue day – Jimmy’s parents, who met us all a couple of times when they were in London in the past, have invited us all to their place in the suburbs. It’ll be our last big get-together before we all leave for our various homes; obviously it won’t be long until we see the Londoners again but a bit more of a big deal for the unfortunates (I jest, I jest!) staying in Melbourne.
