Forgive the title, but just trying to think through a few things that I’ve noticed.

Ok, ok, clearly the holiday has long been over and this is a voice from the past; I got distracted by brexit and coming back to work, that kind of thing!
The second part of our German trip was designed to allow recovery from our earlier cycling exertions; an extra night in Koblenz, then three days in Heidelberg.
Obviously that’s nothing at all like what actually happened.
Erin told me I couldn’t mangle the spelling of dining to make it fit the Germanising of the other two words.

Oh. Turns out I was holding it upside-down.
All is fine now, ignore me!
(before anyone accuses me of not being able to spell, I do mean the plural of chrysalis; there are two of us you know!)
(I have been reliably informed that the plural of chrysalis is chrysalises…well, I’m leaving it as-is anyway!)
We’ve got a kitchen again.
Any by that I mean a relatively complete kitchen – not just an oven (as had been the case for a few weeks) but one with a hob and sinks (sinks! no wash-up in the bath any more!) as well. The luxury of it all!
“I’ve been afflicted by a dodgy builder, what would you prescribe?”
“Hmm, that does look serious, but I’ve got just the thing for you. Take three weeks of Phil, that’ll sort you out.”
That’s what a quality builder is supposed to be like!
